Internationally recognised expertise
The City of Geneva is committed to the Protection of Cultural Property (PCP) to safeguard its heritage. The Department of Culture and Digital Transition is responsible for preserving municipal collections — nearly 28 million items across museums and libraries.
Faced with the risk of disasters that could destroy centuries of history and research in a matter of hours, in 2009 the City of Geneva adopted a PCP plan defining coordinated actions by heritage and security specialists.
This unique plan has made Geneva an international benchmark, with foreign delegations visiting the city every year for training.
For more information on the City of Geneva’s PCP plan, please consult the brochure.
